Upgrade or Buy New?
Your computer no longer seems as fast as it once did...but....do you really need a new one? You may find that an upgrade is all you need to give your existing system that extra bit of performance you need. So before you get brainwashed by the adverts for shiny new machines - hold fire - an upgrade could save you buying unnecessarily.
Upgrading could well give your computer a new lease of life and continue to meet your requirements for a considerable time. I will gladly advise on your upgrade options and let you know whether it is a viable option – and most importantly let you know whether your system is worth spending money on.
Although upgrading some components can have limited effect, a combination may well prove to be of considerable and long term benefit. A larger hard drive could ensure that you have room for all your files and programs, additional memory could give your system a boost, a new graphics card could enable smoother gameplay etc. etc. An upgrade may even allow you to update and install a new operating system.
Just because your computer's a few years old - it doesn't always mean it's past it!
If however you have considered your options and are still thinking of a new system it is always worth remembering that whatever you buy today, you may find cheaper and better tomorrow! It’s a very competitive market these days.
With ever advancing technology, computers seem to become bigger, better, faster almost daily - and as a result 'last year’s model' becomes cheaper, hence the big retail outlets can sometimes (as much as I hate to say it) have some bargains. However newer is not always better - remember the upgrade options!
Although it is very often hard to beat any of the retail stores, I can custom build PCs to your requirements. This is something that the retails stores generally do not offer. With a custom-built system you would benefit from not get any of the trial-ware or useless 'free' software so often included with shop-bought systems. Occasionally I do refurbish PCs. These PCs are rebuilt, thoroughly serviced and setup as new. Quite often these refurbished machines are of comparable specification to some of the 'bargains' you may find.
If you do buy a new computer I can assist in setting it up and help to transfer any data from your old machine, configure your internet connection and emails etc. So don't struggle in the dark - give me a call and see if I can be of any assistance.
