Terms and Conditions
It is the responsibility of the customer to check these these terms and conditions and ask for advice or confirmation of anything not covered before any work is undertaken. Phillips Computer Solutions will otherwise accept no responsibility.
Operating systems and software will only be installed (or reinstalled) provided the customer owns the genuine software or has the original legitimate corresponding licensing keys.
Where possible the customer shall be advised of any software/programs that may be lost if they are to be removed as a result of repair or servicing work. It is the responsibility of the customer to ensure that they have the necessary original media should software need to be reinstalled.
Any brand new parts fitted carry manufacturers warranty. In the case of faulty components testing charges / carriage charges may apply. Removal of any seals may invalidate any warranty offered.
Any used components fitted typically carry a 30 day warranty. In the case of faulty components testing charges / carriage charges may apply. Removal of any seals may invalidate any warranty offered.
No responsibility will be accepted for any components supplied by the customer.
No responsibility will be accepted for loss of any data incurred as a result of work being undertaken to resolve problems. Customers will always be advised to back-up any important data as necessary.
Diagnostic software may report some programs as a potential security risk and may remove them. Where possible the customer will be advised prior removal. However no liability will be accepted for removal of these programs considered a potential security risk.
No responsibility will be accepted for any work undertaken by anybody else.
No liability will be accepted for damage or loss of data caused a result of failing or faulty components.
No responsibility will be accepted for future problems or conflicts caused by configuration changes or for the installation of any software or hardware undertaken by anybody else.
No responsibility will be accepted for any invalidation of warranty cover, extended or otherwise. It is the responsibility of the customer to check and abide by warranty conditions.
No responsibility will be accepted, following any repair or service work, for any issues caused as a result of downloading or using peer to peer file sharing programs or as a result of accessing potentially malicious websites (e.g. rogue music / adult-content related sites).
Any hardware or software installed and used for any repair and servicing work will be removed from customers system.
Parts removed from systems as faulty or due to upgrade shall be returned to the customer. If they are not wanted or not required they will become the property of Phillips Computer Solutions and any data shall be securely removed.
Payment is required in full on completion of any work undertaken. A standard diagnostic charge will apply regardless of whether work is subsequently carried out or not. No credit or other repayment terms can be offered.
No guarantees can be offered to the placement or ranking of websites within search engines. A basic summary of website and content is included only that should enable automatic inclusion into search engines without submission.
Phillips Computer Solutions reserves the right to amend and make any changes to these Terms and Conditions at any time without notice.
